Psychology "At Work"
Instructor: Dr. Neil Walshe, Assistant Professor of Organizational Psychology, USF

Why do we succumb to managements fads? Prof. Walshe will introduce you to sound psychological practices which could decrease the reliance we seem to have on external consultants and management gurus and re-frame how we view the role, and subsequent importance, of psychology at work.

Neil is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Psychology at The University of San Francisco's School of Management. His principle area of research is virtue and morality in organizations, specifically the role of courage and cowardice in organizational life. His work explores the psychological mechanisms and consequences of virtuous behavior as part of expected occupational roles across organizational arenas such as the defense industry, private military contracting and ordnance disposal. His work promotes the use of psychological processes in order to improve not only organizations, but the experience of work through evidence based practice.

As Head of University Programs at Google for their business functions, Vicky created one of the most involved global undergraduate, graduate and MBA recruiting efforts, with rollout in North America, EMEA, APAC and Latin America.  Prior, Vicky spent nearly a decade in financial services at KPMG in the Federal and International Tax practice and as Primary Recruiting Manager, Campus Development Manager, National Instructor and Head of San Francisco’s Involve Community Outreach.  As Co-Founder of Just Evolved and Kannisto & Kamahele, she provides depth of insight into talent infrastructures, talent acquisition, talent management, higher education and branding.
